Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/15) is expected to trade in the range of 6,820 – 6,970 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.

The JCI is expected to respond to Indonesiaโ€™s international trade figures for October, set to be released in the morning today by the countryโ€™s statistics office, widely expected to be in a net surplus of USD3.58bn (September: USD3.42 bn).

Meanwhile, yesterday ย (11/14) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 490 points or 1.4% to 34,828 points, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed higher by 1.9% and 2.4% respectively.

The US Octoberโ€™s headline consumer price index (CPI) for October came in at a 0.0% increase from the previous month (vs. an estimate of 0.1%), and a 3.2% increase from a year ago (vs. an estimate of 3.3%). The softer-than-expected figures are perceived as a potential green light for the Federal Reserve to stop raising interest rates.

The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury Note fell 19 basis points to 4.45%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond slid 21 basis points to 4.8%.

Yesterday, the WTI futures closed almost flat at USD78.3/barrel, paring early gains on signs tensions in the Middle East could be easing. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,699 vs. IDR15,713ย  the previous one.

Cheers,
