The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/6) is expected to trade between 6,090pt – 6,215pt to possibly stay in the green also by support of bargain hunters. Meanwhile, Friday last week (9/3)  Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 75 points or 0.2% to 35,369pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both closed lower by 0.03% and higher by 0.2%, respectively.

The JCI today is expected to be supported by thermal coal price that touched record high last week. Of coal mining counters with major market capitalization and liquidity , such as ITMG, ADRO, UNTR, and PTBA, as of June 30,2021 have shown strong balance sheet. Among the 4 (four) counters, only ADRO recorded a 9.4% net-debt balance position, while the rest are in net-cash status. Investors may want to continue to pay attention to these names also for short-term trading.

At the other end, last week the WTI price closed higher by 0.3% to USD70.2/barrel , mainly supported by  supply worries which also due to the slow recovery of the United States oil operations in the Mexico gulf. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed  at IDR14,261 vs. IDR14,281 the previous one.
