Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/28) is expected to trade between 7,130pt โ€“ 7,250ptย  to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters.ย  The JCI is expected also to be supported by the first official โ€œmudikโ€ activity since the pandemic, while the latest positivity rate of COVID-19 new cases in the capital Jakarta city pointed at 1.6%, among lowest since the mid January.ย ย However, the JCI today might be impacted unfavorably by the latest clarification that the ย Indonesian government forbids its CPO ย for export effective April 28.

The IDX will be closedย  starting tomorrow April 29 and will resume trading on Monday May 9, for major Moslem holidays.

Wall Street yesterday (4/27) ย ย ended with the DJIA closed higher by 62pt or 0.2% to 33, 302pt, meanwhile the S&P500 and Nasdaq closed higher by 0.2% and lower by 0.0%, respectively. At the other end, the yield of the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes closed higher by 1bp at 2.84%.

Yesterday the WTIย  price closed higher by 0.3% to USD102.0/barrel against the previous close, mainly on supply worries as the release of the United States distillate inventories data pointed to a decline to the lowest level since May 2008.ย  Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,418ย  vs. IDR14,412 the previous one.
