The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/28) is expected to trade between 7,130pt โ 7,250ptย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters.ย The JCI is expected also to be supported by the first official โmudikโ activity since the pandemic, while the latest positivity rate of COVID-19 new cases in the capital Jakarta city pointed at 1.6%, among lowest since the mid January.ย ย However, the JCI today might be impacted unfavorably by the latest clarification that the ย Indonesian government forbids its CPO ย for export effective April 28.
The IDX will be closedย starting tomorrow April 29 and will resume trading on Monday May 9, for major Moslem holidays.
Wall Street yesterday (4/27) ย ย ended with the DJIA closed higher by 62pt or 0.2% to 33, 302pt, meanwhile the S&P500 and Nasdaq closed higher by 0.2% and lower by 0.0%, respectively. At the other end, the yield of the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes closed higher by 1bp at 2.84%.
Yesterday the WTIย price closed higher by 0.3% to USD102.0/barrel against the previous close, mainly on supply worries as the release of the United States distillate inventories data pointed to a decline to the lowest level since May 2008.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,418ย vs. IDR14,412 the previous one.
