The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/1) is expected to trade between 6,225pt – 6,340pt be volatile and to stick around also by support of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday ย (9/30) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 547pt or 1.6% to 33,843pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower ย by 1.2% and 0.4%, respectively. The United States stock market is in cautious monitor for ย the countryโs August inflation data, scheduled for release today.
The JCI ย was trading with record value of IDR23.8tr, to include exchange in the negotiations market for several retail and banks counters worth IDR10tr whereby foreign was a net sell of IDR5.8tr. Current domestic macro variables permit dynamic positive expectation for the recovery path for Indonesia, to partly explain the exchanges . In addition, Indonesia parliament has agrred on the government’s proposal to increase value added tax rates and income tax, as one effort to help reduce accumulating budget deficits occured during pandemic period.
