The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/26) is expected to trade between 7,110pt โ7,240pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters. The JCI is expected to be roughly be impacted by news streams regarding the government about-final take on Pertalite price per litre, among others.
Meanwhile, yesterday (8/24) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 323 points or 1.0% to 33,292pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 1.4% and 1.7%, respectively.
At the other end, the yield on the benchmarkย 10-year Treasury noteย dropped 8 basis points at 3.03%, and the 2-year Treasury yield fell 1 ย basis points to 3.37%, continuing to be in a ย yield spread-inversion trend.
Yesterday, ย the WTI price ended lower by 2.5% at USD92.5/barrel, also on ย the possibility of return to global markets of sanctioned Iranian oil exports along with the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal between European Union, the US, and Iran. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย atย IDR14,827 vs. IDR14,851 the previous one.
