The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/4) is expected to trade between 6,990pt โ7,120pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday (8/3) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 416 points or 1.3% to 32,813pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย closed higher by 1.6% and 2.6%, respectively. The ISM Services PMI unexpectedly increased to 56.7pt in July of 2022, the highest in 3-months, from 55.3pt in June and beating market forecasts of 53.5pt.
At the other end, the yield on the benchmarkย 10-year Treasury noteย fell by 5 basis points to 2.71%, as investors cheered new economic data that shrugged off recession fears.ย ย Yesterday, ย the WTI price closed lower by 4.0% to ย USD90.7/barrel, mainly after U.S. data showed crude and gasoline stockpiles unexpectedly surged last week. Furthermore, during the meeting this OPEC+ said it would raise its oil output target by 100,000 barrels per day (bpd).ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at ย IDR14,917 ย vs. IDR14,888 the previous one.
