The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (5/3) is expected to be in the range of 5,950pt โ 6,100pt, to fluctuate and supported by bargain hunters. ย Ahead of the release of 1Q21 Indonesia GDP (5/5), the JCI is expected to trade sideways , or within the band of absolute minus 1% to plus 1% of the previous close, by historical remark.
Meanwhile, Friday last week (4/30), the DJIA closed lower by ย 186 points or 0.5% to 33,875pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ended lower by 0.7% and 0.9% respectively.
At the other end, last week the WTI price ended lower by ย 2.2% to USD63.6/barrel , mainly on demand worries as India and Brazil are still on fight with increasing new cases of Covid-19 pandemic. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closedย at IDR14,453 vs. IDR14,468 the previous one.
