The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/1) is expected to trade between 7,025pt โ€“ 7,170pt to hold ground with the support of bargain hunters.

 

Today the Indonesia stock market is expected to respond to the countryโ€™s inflation data for October, widely expected to soften. Headline inflation figure estimates, by consensus polled by CNBC, are in order of 0.08% on a monthly basis (September: 1.17%), and 5.95% annually (September: 5.95% ).ย 

 

Meanwhile, yesterday ย (10/31) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 129 points or 0.4% to 32,733pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.8% and 1.0%, respectively.

 

The 10-year US Treasury yield, meanwhile, increased by 5 basis points at 4.06% yesterday, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasuryย rose by 7 ย basis points to 4.49%.

 

Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude fell by 1.9%, to USD86.2 a barrel, mainly on the expectation of supply expansion, also from the USโ€™s release of strategic reserve. Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย  IDR15,596 vs. IDR15,542 ย the previous one.
