The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/4) is expected to trade between 6,500pt – 6,635pt to attempt higher also on the back of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (11/3) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 105pt ย or 0.3% to 36,053pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย closed higher by 0.7% and 1%, respectively. Yesterday , the US equity and bonds market ended favourably stable, also more on the management-expectation by the countryโs central bank than on the confirmation of growth prospect, we reckon.
The JCI today is expected to be mostly in the green zone, while commoditiesโ last close might deter upside. At the other end, business environment in Indonesia ย is condusive also as reflected in the stable low rates of new occurrence of new cases of COVID-19 especially in the capital Jakarta city, at 0.4% the latest data.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price ย closed lower by 3.3% ย at ย USD81.2/barrel , mainly on the release of higher than expected weekly crude data, and the expected tightening of monetary policy ย by the US central bank. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,301 vs. IDR14,261 the previous one.
