The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/14) is expected to be in the range of 5,925pt – 6,100pt   likely to have selling pressures and be supported by bargain hunters.  Meanwhile, yesterday (7/13) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 107 points or 0.3% to 34,889pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both closed lower by 0.4%. Yesterday the US stock market saw JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs beating top and bottom line estimates during the kick-off of 2Q21 earnings release. At the same time, the  US 10-year government bonds yield increased by 5bp, mainly for response on the US inflation data (vs. -2bp for Indonesia similar bonds).

Stakeholders in the Jakarta stock market nowadays is expected to face the  impact of less-than-proper COVID-19 pandemic management in the country. However, traders and investors may continue monitor and consider bargain counters, we advise.

At the other end, yesterday  the WTI price closed lower by 0.2% to USD73.9/barrel, mainly being supported by supply concerns.    Meanwhile, last week the USDIDR  closed  at IDR14,486 vs. IDR14,486 the previous one.
