The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (12/21) is expected to trade between 6,725ptโ 6,825pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
ย The JCI is expected to move in a narrow range with traders cautious of the announcement from Indonesiaโs central bank Bank Indonesia tomorrow (12/22) concerning the countryโs latest monetary policy stance.
On the other end, Indonesiaโs 10-year government yield rose by a non-extraordinary 3 basis points yesterday at 6.906% in the wake of a sudden release of the upper and lower yield cap of the ย 10-year Japanese government bond yesterday.
Yesterday (12/20), Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by ย 92 points or 0.3% to 32,850pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.1% and 0.0%, respectively.ย The 10-year US Treasury yield, yesterday rose by 10 basis points at 3.69%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasury increased by 6 basis points at 4.272%.
Yesterday, the price of ย WTI crude closed higher by 1.2% at USD76.1 a barrel, mainly on the softer USD Index. The USDIDR ย closed atย IDR15,608 vs. IDR15,621 the previous one.
