Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (2/17) is expected to be in the range of 6,250pt – 6,375pt to attemp higher mainly on high hope of economic recovery.   Positivity Rate (PR) of COVID-19 daily new case  in Jakarta capital city is recorded at 16.2%, a fourth-day decline in a row since February 12.  The latest PR level should be an encouraging fact given the higher tracing-ratio contact into 1:30 starting early February vs. 1 :10 previously.

Meanwhile in  Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 64 points or by 0.2% to 31,523pt, while S&P 500, and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.06% and 0.34%, respectively.

At the other end, yesterday  the WTI price closed higher by 0.9% to USD60.0/barrel as compared  to the previous close, mainly on production disruptions along with the heavy winter in the United States.   Meanwhile, the USDIDR  closed  at IDR13,875  vs. IDR13,946 the previous one.
