Morning,

 The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/21) is expected to trade between 7,180pt – 7,280pt  to gain edge and supported by bargain hunters.  The JCI today is expected to be supported also by COVID-19 new case positivity rate in the capital Jakarta city,  of  2.4% by the latest record of 4/19, or the new low since the mid January this year.

Wall Street yesterday  (4/20) ended with the DJIA closed higher by 250pt or 0.7% to 34,451pt, meanwhile the S&P500 and Nasdaq closed lower by 0.1% and 1.2%, respectively. At the other end, the yield of the benchmark 10-year Treasury notes retreated after days of increase and closed lower by 10bp to 2.84%.

Yesterday  the WTI  price closed rebounded by 1.0% to USD103.6/barrel against the previous close, mainly on concerns of declining global output as sanction on Russia, being the world’s second-largest oil exporter and a key European supplier, should take effect.  Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed  at IDR14,351  vs. IDR14,347 the previous one.
