The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (1/5) is expected to trade in the range of ย 7,300 – 7,420 points to attempt higher with the support of bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday ย (1/4) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 10 points or 0.03% to 37,440 points, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite closed lower by 0.34% and 0.56%, respectively.
The yield of the 10-year ย US ย Treasury note was higher by 9 basis points to 3.995%, while the yield on theย 2-year Treasury bond was higher by 7 basis points to 4.387%.
Yesterday, the WTI futures contract closed lower by 0.7% at USD72.2/barrel, mainly supported by the release of crude stocks data from the American Petroleum Institute showing a decline of 7.4 million barrels, double the expected drawdown. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,525 vs. IDR15,495 the previous one.
