The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/23) is expected to be in the range of 5,050pt โ 5,175pt, to fluctuate and incline higher on technical rebound. ย ย Meanwhile, yesterday ย (10/22) the DJIA closed higher by ย 153 points or 0.4% to 28,364pt, while the ย S&P500 and the Nasdaq ended higher by 0.5% and 0.2%, respectively.

The performance of the JCI yesterday was better-than-our expectation, with intraday low at 5,084pt against the estimated 5,050pt, while intraday high of 5,132pt ย was within our estimated upper range of 5,150pt. This implies the domestic stock market is still in its stable, cautious- optimistic mode, with traders and investors put attention on the countryโs blue chip counters.
At the other end, yesterdayย the WTI price closed higher by 1.4% at USD40.6/barrel as compared to the previous one of UD40.0/barrel, on technical rebound. ย Meanwhile, yesterday the USDIDR ย closedย at IDR14.697 ย vs. IDR14.658 the previous one.
