Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/16) is expected to trade between 6,075pt – 6,200pt to  stick gain edge by support of  bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday  (9/15) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 237pt or 0.7% to 34,814pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.9% and by 0.8%,respectively. Stock market participants are in monitor for the United States (US) weekly jobless claims today.

The JCI  was trading as expected yesterday , also being supported by the country’s international trade data for the month of August at a surplus of USD4.7bn. The August’s  figure both surpasses the highest range of the consensus’ estimate of USD2.7bn and stands at a historical-high.

At the other end, yesterday the WTI price closed higher bt 3.1% to USD72.6/barrel , mainly as supplies worries as the weekly crude inventory data in the US showed a decline of 5.4mn barrels, or higher than the estimated 3.5mn barrels drop.   Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed  at IDR14,252 vs. IDR14,257 the previous one.
