The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/21) is expected to trade between 6,620pt – 6,720pt to attempt for the year high also by support of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday (10/20) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 152pt ย or 0.4% to 35,609pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.4% and lower by 0.1%, respectively.
The JCI today is expected to be supported also by the decision of Indonesia central bank Bank Indonesia (BI) to maintain its ย accomodative monetary stance despite the meaningful improvement of the latest countryโs COVID-19 pandemic indicators. Aside of the unchanged BI7DRRR of 3.5%, BI also maintains other facilitating measures introduced during the pandemic year. For example, down-payment requirement of credit-based motorcylce and car purchase is maintained at minimum of 0%. Also, Loan to Value ratio of property purchase is also unchanged at 100% as first introduced last year.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price ย closed ย higher by 1.1% USD83.9/barrrel , mainly on supplies worries along with the release of the ย US crude stocks data which indicated a weekly decline of 431k barrels agains an expected increase. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,080 vs. IDR14,096 the previous one.
