ย The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/8) is expected to trade between 7,040pt โ7,150pt ย to attempt higher and supported by bargain hunters. ย ย
Meanwhile, Friday last week (8/5) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 77 points or 0.2% to 32,804pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq ย closed lower by 0.2% and 0.5%, respectively. ย At the other end, the yield on the benchmarkย 10-year Treasury noteย rose by 16 basis points to 2.83%, mainly on strong latest US job numbers.
Friday last week, ย the WTI price closed higher by 0.5% to ย USD89.0/barrel, mainly on supply fear.ย Traders has yet to come to terms that additional output of 100k barrels per day (effective September this year) decided by OPEC+ last week, was one of the smallest increases since such quotas were introduced in 1982. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at ย IDR14,904 ย vs. IDR14,929 the previous one.
