The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/18) is expected to trade between 6,820ptโ€“6,930pt to attempt higher in support of bargain hunters.

 

Meanwhile, yesterday (7/17) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 76 points or 0.2% to 34,585pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.4% and 0.9%, respectively.

The 10-year US Treasury yield fell by less than 1 basis point at 3.807%.ย  Similarly, the yield on theย 2-year Treasury inched down to 4.749%.

 

Yesterday, the price of WTI ย closed lower by 1.7% at USD74.2/ barrel, mainly on demand issue following the release of Chinaโ€™s 2Q23 GDP data, at 6.3% YoY vs. the estimates of 7.3% YoY. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,007 vs. IDR14,945 the previous one.
