The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/6) is expected to trade between 6,830pt to 6,940pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, yesterday (10/5) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 10 points or 0.0% to 33,120pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq Composite both closed lower by 0.1%.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones expect that the US Septemberโs nonfarm payrolls will show a 170,000 net gain. Expectations for a Fed rate hike, low now, could change with a hot payroll number, which is what some on Wall Street are expecting.
ย The 10-year US Treasury yield dropped by 2 basis points to 4.719%, its highest level since 2007. ย ย Similarly, theย 2-year Treasury fell by 2 basis points to 5.03%.
Yesterday, the price of the WTI ย futures fell by 2.3% to USD84.3/barrel, also on the easing of the USD Index and the prospect of resuming supply from the pipeline in Iraq after being interrupted for 6 months. ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,601 vs. IDR15,636 the previous one.
