The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (4/28) is expected to be in the range of 5,925pt โ 6,050pt, ย to fluctuate in a relatively narrow range. Meanwhile, yesterday (4/27), the DJIA closed higher by ย 3 points or 0.2% to 33,985pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ended lower by 0.02% and 0.3% respectively.
At the other end, the 10-year yield the US bonds was creeping higher in the middle of jittery on the the Fed chairman comments after completion of Aprilโs FOMC this afternoon.
With latest IMFโs upward revision on April (vs. previous on October), global growth is set at 6.0% YoY ย and the US at 6.4% YOY, and the ASEAN-5 at 4.9% YoY,ย the expectation of recovery pace, to large extent, is expected to determine ย global money flow in the shorter term, aside of basics such as average income of the population, and social order.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price ended higher by ย 1.6% to USD62.9/barrel , following the OPEC+ response on the surging COVID-19 cases in India, to keep the production level as planned starting May 1. Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closedย at IDR14,497 vs. IDR14,489 the previous one.
