The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (10/5) is expected to trade between 6,285pt – 6,400pt to stick around also by support of ย bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday ย (10/4) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed lower by 324pt or 0.9% to 34,003pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ย closed lower by 1.3% and 2.1%, respectively. Tightening monetary policy and higher yields are risks to burden companies interest expenses in the US and created uncertainties.
The JCI today is expected to be volatile however euphoria, in particular on thermal coalย higher price that hapenned to reach record high at USD240/ tonne last week, is reckoned to continue to support buyings.
At the other end, yesterday ย the WTI price ย closed higher by 2.3% to ย USD77.6/barrel, mainly on supply worries as the OPEC+ member decided yesterday to stick to the existing plan of output hike of 400k bpd on November despite current energy price increase. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed ย at IDR14,276 ย vs. IDR14,315 the previous one.
