The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (8/2) is expected to trade between 6,840ptโ6,970pt to attempt higher in support of bargain hunters.
ย Meanwhile, yesterdayย ย (8/1) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 71 points or 0.2% to 35,631pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.3% and 0.4%, respectively.
The number of job openings in the US dipped to its lowest point in more than two years to 9.582mn (May: 9.61mn) ย units, roughly as expected.
The 10-year US Treasury yield jumped 8 basis points to 4.037%.ย Similarly, the yield on theย 2-year Treasury added 3 basis points to 4.902%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI ย futures closed lower by 0.13% from the previous sessionโs settlement to USD81.7/ barrel, mainly supported by demand prospects. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,117 vs. IDR15,003 ย the previous one.
