The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (3/10) is expected to be in the range of 6,150pt โ 6,275pt to fluctuate and be supported by bargain hunters. ย The USDIDR exchange value currently under pressure following the perceived faster rate of economic recovery in the US. At present, stakeholders are in monitor of today data release of the US inflation rate for February, widely estimated at 0.4% MoM and 1.7% YoY. Bond yields in the US have been trending higher in the recent weeks despite the Fed statement August last year to maintain dovish policy while to allow higher inflation for certain periods.
Meanwhile, yesterday (3/9) in Wall Street, ย ย the DJIA closed higher by 30 points or by 0.1% to 31,833pt, while S&P 500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by ย 1.4% and by 3.7%, respectively.
At the other end, yesterday ย the WTI price closed lower by ย 1.6% atUSD64.1/barrel ย , mainly on the easing fear of supply disrupt from Saudi Arabia recently-attacked oil port as well as higher USD index.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closedย at IDR14,468 ย vs. IDR14,390 the previous one.
