The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/12) is expected to be in the range of 5,975pt โ 6,100pt ย ย to stick around by support of bargain hunters. Meanwhile, Friday last week (7/9) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 448 points or 1.3% to 34,420pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed highe r by 1.1% by 0.9%, respectively.
10-year yield of the US government bonds increased to 1.36% in Friday, bouncing from the lower level of1.25% the day before. This is linked to lesser worries on COVID-19 delta variant that attack major economies in Asia, including Japan.
At the other end, Indonesia urgent lockdown that started on July 3 to July 20, initially for Java and Bali and now extended to outside Java, is expected to cap the JCI move. Fortunately, commodities price is currently stable at a meaningfully higher on a YoY level. This factor should support domestic financial market.
