The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/24) is expected to trade between 6,840ptโ6,930pt to attempt higher in support of bargain hunters. ย ย The JCI is expected to move in a narrow span, while officials from Indonesiaโs central bank Bank Indonesia will start its monthly 2-day policy meeting today.
Meanwhile, Friday ย (7/21) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed higher by 3 points or 0.5% to 35,228pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by marginally 2 points and lower by 0.2%, respectively. ย ย ย ย The 10-year US Treasury yield was down by 2 basis points at 3.837%.ย Similarly, the yield on theย 2-year Treasury increased by 1 basis point to 4.844%.
Yesterday, the price of WTI ย closed higher by 1.9% at USD77.1/ barrel, mainly triggered by supply concerns along with higher geopolitical risks in Russia and Ukraine. Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,026 vs. IDR14,991 the previous one.
