Indonesia’s headline Consumer Price Index (CPI)  for April this year was released by the country’s statistics office Badan Pusat Statistik (Central Statistics Agency) at an MoM rate of  0.25% (March: 0.52%), and a Year-On-Year (YoY) rate of 3.00% (March: 3.05%). The monthly and annual inflation rates for April were respectively slightly lower and in line with the consensus estimate, and within the target range set by the central bank Bank Indonesia, at 2.5±1% (in Chart 1).
