The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (7/10) is expected to trade between 6,650ptโ6,800pt to attempt higher and be supported by bargain hunters.
Meanwhile, Friday last week (7/7) on Wall Street, the DJIA closed lower by 187 points or 0.6% to 33,735pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both closed lower by 0.3% and 0.1%, respectively. ย The US Labor Department reported on Friday that nonfarm payrolls rose by 209k jobs in June below consensus estimates from Dow Jones calling for an increase of 240k.
The 10-year US Treasury yield was higher by 2 basis points at 4.062%.ย The yield on theย 2-year Treasuryย closed lower by 7 basis points at 4.937%.
Friday, the price of WTI ย closed higher by 2.9 at USD73.9/ barrel, mainly on supply concerns along with the news that Saudi Arabia and Russia announced fresh output cuts to bring total reductions by OPEC+, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies, to around 5 million barrels per day (bpd). Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed at IDR15,136 vs. IDR15,062 the previous one.
