Morning,
The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (26/6) is expected to be in the range of 4,850pt – 4,975pt with investors in cautious stance. Meanwhile in Wall Street yesterday (25/6) the DJIA to close at 25,746pt, higher by 300 points or 1.2% while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq both ended higher by 1.1%. Nevertheless, the US central bank released report that annual stress test of the major banks shows some banks could get close to minimum capital levels in scenarios related to the coronavirus pandemic. This will prevent banks’ share repurchase programs and hike in dividend rate for the 3Q20, which triggered equity futures indices unfavorably.
At the other end, yesterday the WTI price closed higher by 0.4% at USD38.9/barrel, while the USDIDR closed at IDR14.231 vs. IDR14.160 the previous one.
We advise the following recommendation as for now, for both trading and longer-time investment purpose.
