The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (11/28) is expected to trade between 6,990ptโ 7,120pt to tend to sell pressures. ย ย The JCI is expected to be impacted by selling vibes in the Asia markets this morning, over civil unrest in China protesting the zero-Covid policy. In the background, the Peopleโs Bank of China announced it wouldย cut the reserve requirement ratio for banks by 25 basis points to 7.8% and inject around 500 billion yuan in long-term liquidity.
Friday (11/25), ย Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by ย 153ย points or 0.5% to 34,347pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed lower by 0.0% and 0.5%, respectively.
The 10-year US Treasury yield, last week fell by 1 basis point at 3.698%, and the yield on the policy-sensitiveย 2-year Treasuryย decreased by 1 basis point to 4.475%.
Last week, the price of ย WTI crude dropped 1.7%, to USD76.6 a barrel, mainly on the prospect of weak demand along with COVID-19 new cases in China prompting more cities in the country, under the zero-Covid policy, ย to implement lockdown.ย Meanwhile, the USDIDR ย closed atย IDR15,668 vs. IDR15,647 the previous one.
