The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (28/10) is expected to be in the range of 6,235pt-6,325pt after regional lead initiated by Wall Street cheers on an almost done of the Phase One trade deal between the United States and China.  Last Friday (25/10) the DJIA closed by 152 points higher or 0.6% to 26,958. Meanwhile, S&P500 and the Nasdaq indices, both closed higher by 0.4% and 0.7%, respectively.

 

At the other end, USDIDR closed at IDR14.064 last week  vs. IDR13.996 previously. Meanwhile, the WTI price extended gain by UScents40 to USD56.7/barrel on Friday close. Last week saw a surprise of weekly data of the United States oil inventory showed a decline of 1.7mn vs. an increase of 2.2mn barrels by analysts’ estimates that had triggered price hike.

 

We keep the following recommendations. These counters have been hit hard since the end of  March this year and thus offer bargain opportunity both for trading and longer term investment purpose.
