Morning,

The Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) today (9/14) is expected to trade between 6,050pt – 6,175pt to to gain edge by support of  bargain hunters. Meanwhile, yesterday  (9/13) Wall Street ended with the DJIA closed higher by 262pt or 0.8% to 34,870pt, while the S&P500 and the Nasdaq closed higher by 0.2% and lower by 0.07%,respectively. Stock market participants is in monitor for the United States (US) headline inflation rate release for the month of August today, a consensus-estimate of 0.4% MoM and 5.4% YoY (July: 0.5%MoM, 5.4%YoY).

The JCI  today is expected to also be supported by a sustained low level  for COVID-19 new cases (within record low of 1.4% in September 12)  in the capital city Jakarta, while cinemas are to re-open this week . As yesterday formed stronger-than-expected intraday support, the JCI is expected to likely stay in the green most of the time today.

At the other end, yesterday the WTI price closed higher by 1.1% to   USD70.5/barrel, mainly still on supply worry from the impact of  Hurrican Ida .  Meanwhile, the USDIDR closed  at IDR14,260 vs. IDR14,225 the previous one.
